BARFC prop Jacob Perkins was chosen as Nathaniel Car Sales Player of Month September 2023. This follows on from the last such award he won in May 2023. In the 10 months since he started playing senior rugby it is remarkable for a prop forward to win the award 20% of the time.
Jacob has made 24 Senior Ath Appearances – 23 for the 1sts and scored 4 tries and 20 points. This season he has played in 5 of the 7 games crossing for 2 tries. His college weekend commitments prevent him from playing for the Ath at present.
Jacob came through the Ath M&J, Youth set up and played in the Youth Cup Final at end of season 2021-2023, before going straight into the 1st XV season 2022-2023.
He is a powerful scrummager and ball carrier – even at a young age able to hold his own with experienced opponents. If he maintains current progress, he can reach high levels in the game.
