Ath to Play at Brewery Field

It has been confirmed that Bridgend Athletic RFC will play at least 10 matches at the Bridgend Ford Brewery Field in the coming season.

The Ath successfully played two games at the Brewery Field last season with two wins against Tondu and Narberth and now will play most of their 1st Team Home games there  this season. These include favourites for promotion to the Premiership, Swansea ,RGC 1404 North Wales,Pontypool and big spending Merthyr as well as last year's championship the formidable Bargoed.. Thanks to the WRU only three fixtures clash with Bridgend home games and the Ath are looking to rearrange these fixtures.

 
The Ath start the Championship season with an away game on September 5th at Merthyr and then play a local derby against Llanharan on the 12th of September at the Brewery Field ko 2.30pm. All Bridgend Raven supporters not travelling away with the Ravens will be made most welcome at their home ground! 
 
The Athletic are playing 2 pre season friendlies away at Mountain Ash on August 15 th and away at Clifton, Bristol on August 22 nd.


The Ath coaching set up for the start of the season is led by Director of Coaching John Apsee with former Wales flanker Gavin Thomas in charge of the forwards and Athletic legend Stuart Morris the backs coach again this seson Paul Hearne remains Team Manager.
