Dear Fellow BARFC Lions Supporter,
I hope that you, your family and friends are staying safe and well during these unprecedent times.
We have recently received the news that we have all been expecting - The British & Irish Lions have officially confirmed that the tour will be played without supporters and behind closed doors as a result of South Africa being placed on the UK’s Red Light Travel List. Please click on the following link for the BBC Sport press release - https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/rugby-union/56863104
This now means that we have the ammunition to successfully apply for refunds from our suppliers such as airlines, ground agents & match ticket providers. Under ATOL regulations, they must now refund us within 28 days. Once we have received the funds back from our suppliers, please be assured that we will process the refunds back to you as quickly as possible.
If you still have savings with us and you have not already done so, kindly provide your bank account details in to which you require your tour savings to be repaid. Thank you to all who have confirmed their preference of transferring the balance to the Wales Summer Tour of South Africa in 2022 instead.
It is extremely disappointing that it has taken so long for the British & Irish Lions to officially inform everyone. Even more so, that we have not been able to partake in what would have been a memorable tour with BARFC.
On a positive note, our plans for Church Village Travel to tour South Africa with Wales in 2022, to tour Australia with the Lions in 2025 and to watch Wales at the Rugby World Cup in France 2023 are well advanced. We will send out details of these tours for your general info in due course.
Thank you for your continued support and understanding.
Sincere Regards,
David Perry,
Church Village Travel.
