BARFC have been in dialogue with BCBC regarding H&S and Fire Risks to the New Pavilion at Newbridge Fields since May 25th, 2020. In July we received promises that the outside cladding and the shower areas would be addressed from our wish list.
The Council commissioned an independent survey which reported back fully justifying our wish list. With Covid problems we resumed dialogue in the New Year and things are starting to happen.
Today the exterior new cladding started. The showers soon to be addressed. We are still in dialogue regarding the extent of repairs to be carried out and hope to have some info by Feb 19th. We have requested a site meeting and await response.
We are also in dialogue regarding our proposal for an A48 Community Sports Hub including 4G Pitch and Floodlights. The council have promised this will go forward. Again, we hope by Feb 19th to have BCBC’s own vision for Newbridge Fields.
We have also alerted BCBC to inadequate Car Parking and Pitch drainage issues.
Covid unfortunately consuming a huge chunk of BCBC’s time, but things are now moving in a positive direction. BARFC Members will be kept updated.
